Established under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, by the University Grants Commission, Government of India, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune (Deemed-to-be University), came into existence on January 11, 2003.
Currently, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune, stands as a distinguished institution with 13 Constituent Units, collectively known as "DPU." These units have earned a reputable brand name in various disciplines including Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Optometry, Biotechnology, Management, Ayurved, Homeopathy, Design, Allied Health Sciences, Liberal Arts, Science & Technology, and Online Learning Centre.
